Directions to the Wales National Velodrome, Newport

From Cardiff and the West
Leave the M4 at Junction 28 - 3rd exit off roundabout to Newport A48/Docks. At the next three roundabouts take the 2nd exit (Docks A48), 1st exit (Docks) & 2nd exit (Pill/South Docks). Go straight over 2 sets of traffic lights past the Transporter Bridge. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit & then go straight over another 2 sets of traffic lights. 

Newport International Sports Village is signposted from this point. Take the last exit at the next roundabout (back down opposite side of distributor road), then 1st left (next to Carcraft) into Langland Way. Take the next left into Newport International Sports Village for the Velodrome, take the 1st right and then straight on and follow the road round to the left. 

From Bristol & the East 
Leave the M4 at Junction 24 (The Coldra). On exit roundabout take the 1st exit (from London & the East) signposted Newport International Sports Village. Follow brown tourist information signs. Follow road taking 2nd turn (straight on) at 1st roundabout, take 2nd turn at 2nd roundabout and take the 1st turn at the 3rd roundabout, signed as Newport International Sports Village. Follow the road until you get to the roundabout for Tesco & Newport Retail Park.


Take 3rd exit at the roundabout & you will see Dunelm on the left. At next roundabout take 2nd exit straight on & follow road until you pass the Velodrome on the left. Take the next turning left (Carcraft on both sides of the road). Take next left into Newport International Sports Village. For the Velodrome, take the 1st right, then straight on & follow the road round to the left.


By Rail
Take the Great Western Service to Newport, Gwent. Newport is on the main South Wales to London Paddington Line. Taxis are available outside the train station.
